The home stretch

We're doing our best to get caught up since the downfall of our computer system and all the quirks that lasted three weeks.
There are three new fragrances this month in Turquoise, which is a soft, yet nice mix of sandalwood and creamy vanilla; Reindeer Poo, which actually is like a combination of festivity and pine and warmth; and Raspberry Zinger, which is just delicious and calorie free unlike Dolly Madison's real stuff!
It's been a rough fall and winter to get through, but we're working to get restocked.
Our bath bombs are out of stock, but they can still be ordered and made in time to provide a splendor in the bath.
We've been working on a massage oil and testing our hand at perfumes, which we'll be testing for a while lol!
Look for our site to be updated soon and along with it, new fragrances in all categories.
Before closing, we will be doing away with our Perfume and Cologne bars as we have come down to the last nitty gritty of our packaging and cannot find an affordable option. We are looking to replace this product with creamy cocoa butter, emu oil, shea oil blend.
If you've got scent suggestions, we're listening. We will only carry up to 10 scents in this product. Lavender and lilac will be among the choices.
We're also looking to eventually add container candles to the fold and are entering into the jar selection stage and then into the real test stages before they hit our shelves.
Next year we will be involving more essential oils into some of our products and establishing products specifically for this material.
Until next year, we do wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Here's to hoping for no more computer problems!

Coming soon!

We have a beautiful Pinot Grigio scent in our possession and have combined this with an equally gorgeous jasmine.
The end result is a 3.5-pound batch of soap that is entering its gel state.
Interestingly enough, this is not an overly floral or overly wine scent. The combination of the two fragrances appears to have a sweet, fun and flirty note that we'll describe later once this log has gone through cure.
Waiting to become a batch of soap is our latest essential oil combination of pink grapefruit, lemongrass, rosemary and a tiny bit of litsea cubeba for a very fresh, energizing combination. The trick will be to see how this survives gel, once we get the batch made. I do not want the heat from the gel to burn off particularly the pink grapefruit EO. It will still be an energetic blend even if we lose the grapefruit, but we just don't want to lose the grapefruit.
Look for more soaps to be included online within a week, starting with Patchouli Mint and ending with a gorgeous Olive Leaf blend, pictured, that could be called That's Amore!Suggestions for names are always welcome!

Madness and mayhem

The website has finally been updated. Our sincere apology to everyone. We ran into a glitch in the web design that led to erased photos and other electronical quirks. It was absolutely maddening.

Winter was hectic and we have been scrambling to get soaps back in stock. Last year was a record year for our bars and that means we get to play more in the laboratory than normal.

We will be adding all new items to the Create-A-Tory and keeping it updated now that most of our data has been restored and the midnight oil has been burned.

There are plenty of new scents and lot of favorites back in inventory. We're also upgrading our site with the ability to add video so you can see your products made or get a virtual tour of our tent etc. We have also joined Twitter and you can follow us there for updates on the business, our playtime, products and sales, and even spur of the moment sales.

So join us on Twitter! Facebook coming soon!

End of the year glitches

Our hosting service threw a wrench into our plans to advertise a year-end sale by making it difficult to keep our site updated.
Bear with us as we get photographs uploaded! We will be adding some new things to the site as well our show tables, so be sure to keep your eyes open in 2010.
Our plans are to hold monthly sales, drawings and different stimulus plan for the coming year. Along that line, we're hoping to be set for a Valentine's Day savoir faire. We do have new fragrances to frollick in throughout the coming year of which we hope they win your hearts like they won our noses!

More to come.

Fall season starting

The Leavenworth County Fair in Tonganoxie gets us ready for the fall season and we're working our new candles, new looks and restocking what is low.
Thank you to those who came to our booth and those who purchased. We hope you enjoy your products.
We have restocked some candles: Drakkar™, Love Spell™, Lavender, Lilac, Sweet Pea™, Red Clove, Mulled Cider, Basil Sage and Mint and Tiger Eyes.

In incense (expected arrival Sept. 1): Drakkar™, Merlin's Forest (new), Strawberry Musk, Jasmine, Witches Brew (new) and some others will be coming soon.

In lip balm: Margarita and Peach Daiquiri are back in stock. Witches Brew and Pumpkin Pie will among the fall flavors returning.

Bath bombs: Ever popular were these gems this past week. We're working as fast as possible to get Lavender and Lilac into stock. We will be restocking Misbehavin', Pretty, Sandalwood Rose, Karma Chameleon, Goddess and Tahiti Temptation quickly. Also coming back will be Kai™, Kimono, Pure Seduction™, Queen Bee and several newer ones as long as the strength holds up in our hands.

Soap: We're dangerously low on Patchouli and a batch will be finished Monday night. We're a little behind on Apple Jack, Cranberry Citrus and we're hoping to add Snow Queen, Raspberry Patchouli and a few others. We ran out of a key ingredient that just arrived, so it will be 4-6 weeks before these soaps will be ready. We will announce them on the site.

New this week in candles will be Marigold Mint and Merlin's Forest. Merlin won't debut till Wednesday at the latest. Marigold we'll be offering in light and dark. You got a preview picture at the opening of this thread.

We will be restocking Patchouli after Merlin and promise to get Driftwood back in stock as well as Lustful Thoughts to go with some newer fragrances.

Hot Summer Nights sale near!

Now that vacations are out of the way, it's time to get down to some serious summer enjoyment.

The heat is back and while we've been around, we're kicking into gear.

Starting Wednesday, we're discounting everything in our online store by 20% to kick off a Hot Summer Nights sale that won't end till midnight Sept. 20, 2009 (the last breath of summer, according to the calendar.)

But to still encourage you to stretch your legs and enjoy some fresh air, we're also adding an coupon online that you'll need to print and can bring with you to our shows for the remainder of the year to get 10% off your purchases in our booth. With that said, how will this affect the stimulus package for those who are members? In person, it doesn't. It means you'll get 25% off if you use the coupon and present your card. Now, that's savings.

Online, it's a different story. It has taken me a long time to try to figure out how two codes can be used on our site without redoing all the pages. No matter what I've tried, it hasn't worked, so that's why the sale has been mighty slow in coming. The easiest alternative is for us to reimburse you the additional 10% off your purchase and that's what we're going to do. You will need to include your Stimulus Package code in your Paypal payments to get it and you will get the discount.

Most summer sales seem to last a few weeks, but this one will be going down to the last tick of summer -- ending midnight Sept. 20. The sale will be good for all items that are in stock. When something is gone, it's gone.

Turn around time, that is processing, packaging and mailing your package, may require up to three to five days, especially if you're ordering bath bombs or candles in the 3x6 and higher range. We don't keep a healthy stock of that size because we simply don't have the room.

There are no new soaps on the rack right now. Give me this weekend to get the fall and winter lines going.

We're looking forward to seeing many of you throughout the show season.

Back to candles

We've got a feel for some new scents and for our fall/winter fragrances we'll be offering this year. I know it hasn't been easy to put soap and bath bombs and lip balms aside to go back to wax, but now that I'm back, I'm enjoying the play.

One fragrance people have been raving about is powdered sugar, so we're gearing up to have it ready for the Leavenworth County fair.

I don't know of anyone who goes around opening powdered sugar bags and sniffing. This fragrance is similar to the smell of powdered sugar confectionaries, so I tried to get a lightly baked look under a dusting of white.

We've also got an extremely yumah fragrance called mandarin coconut that will be on the shelf by the fair too. We've kept this simple with an orange rustic look and the fragrance is anything but rustic. It was the easiest way to combine orange and white ;)

Coming will be an absolutely divine combination of pumpkin and butternut squash, cranberry peppermint, sandalwood and ginger apple and a clove spice for starters. Since we've been out of dried apple wreath, that will return and we're looking to add a woodland wreath as well.

For the not so seasonal scents, Guns and Roses, Serengeti Sunset, Beneath the Stars, Heirloom and Iced Oatmeal Raisin Cookies are first up unless I get distracted again by several scent choices.
